Rules for the 50 Book Challenge

Some of you have said you may be joining me in the 50 Book Challenge. Some guy wrote a list of rules, which you should feel free to use. I personally will not count rereads, but I am not Turandot challenging her suitors and thus cannot make hard and fast pronouncements about how this should be done.
