Ask Metafilter, by a strange coincidence, has been rife with questions about looks and love for the past few days. A few interesting ones:

- How much has your own attractiveness or sense thereof determined with whom you are or have been romantically involved?

- Do people who might typically be considered physically unattractive think that they are indeed physically unattractive?
