Brief Post-Election Thoughts

D.C. was a complete madhouse last night, just like your town: People were whooping and hollering and waving giant American flags in the street. It's hard to not feel euphoric at such a historic moment! But I am so sick about Prop. 8. It sounds like the No on 8 forces were not terribly organized for a last minute push, and maybe that could have made a difference. What will be the fate of same-sex couples married before its passage? Despite being barred in California, I am not up on this issue.
