"The sisterhood has been let down when women can’t accept the natural stages in their life."

So remember, ladies: when you have children late in life, you're not just flouting David Brooks's recommendations, you're letting down the sisterhood.

Seriously, the woman is single and 66; it wasn't the wisest choice in the world. But on the stupid decision scale, it's hardly worthy of international protest.
