Looking back on it, I think I didn't enjoy BSG because I felt like it was never as deep as it thought it was. Every second I felt like I could hear the show's creators saying things like "this is sci-fi naturalism," or "this show is really dark," or "this ain't no punk-ass Star Trek."Hearing about the finales of shows like Lost and BSG makes me glad that I never got into them in the first place.
